Youth unemployment is the highest in 23 years at 1.02 million (16-24 year olds). The total unemployment rate was 2.62 million or 8.3% of the working population as of September 2011, and is expected to reach 3 million (Office of National Statistics ONS) any day soon. Female unemployment is standing at 1.09 million, and highest in the South east.
I joined career Studies College in 2010 to study for an NVQ level 3 course in health and Social care. The support given me during this course has been an invaluable tool in improving my career development. The assessors and teachers at Career studies have given me the opportunity to join an unstinting and dynamic team whose philosophy lies on developing a sense of knowledge and professionalism in all they do. I have now been given another opportunity to complete my PTTLS award and well and truly on the way to developing the career I crave and ultimately my dreams.
