This QCF approved course is delivered in a classroom. This programme is designed for those already in a role of responsibility or wishing to take on this role. This is a one year programme consisting of five mandatory units. Students are expected to have a university degree and have a good grasp of English. This post-graduate diploma is specifically designed for Management in the Health and Social Care sector. Students will start their studies with the principles of managing for the future. As well, they will deal with many aspects to finance and how this affects the prospects of the organisation. An emphasis on delivery of service and the concept of establishing a niche market in enterprise management will be covered in class. This is supplemented by team dynamics and how to improve team efficiency. Students have the opportunity to practice their newly acquired knowledge with their scenario-based company projects, which lasts the length of their programme.
